Celebrate June 24th in San Juan
With good weather, there is no better plan than going to the beach, so today, in “Your Next Stop” we recommend one of the most important beaches in Alicante along with Postiguet, San Juan beach.
Having become one of the emblems of the province, San Juan beach is the perfect place to spend a summer day and one of the main tourist attractions. In addition, on June 24th there is a special date as the night of San Juan is celebrated where a massive lighting of bonfires takes place in honor of San Juan Bautista. This name is also used for the neighborhood located next to the beach, which has gone from being a summer resort to a residential area. The beach has the blue flag award, granted by the Association for Environmental and Consumer Education (ADEAC) which recognizes the quality of the waters, cleanliness, safety and services of the beaches.

San Juan beach is a unique place, not only for its wonderful views and location, but also for the number of activities it offers. THE CHANGE OF THE BEACH
Looking back, until the first half of the 20th century, the area was not of much interest except for people who came to spend the summer there. After the end of the Civil War, they began to build buildings en masse until it became what it is today, a residential area with a busy beach all year round and with a large number of services to make your day an unforgettable day. Since then, the area has become one of the main tourist attractions along with Cabo de la Huerta or Postiguet beach.
